Sterling Ranch is the main base and breeding center for Sterling Quarter Horses. It is located in Aubrey, Texas, known as the heart of Quarter Horse Country USA.
The beautifully constructed, state of art facility is located just one hour from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and a 2.5 hour drive from Oklahoma City, home of the AQHA World Show, NRHA Futurity and NRHA Derby.
Sterling Ranch offers a comprehensive facility for every aspect of the Reining horse business, from breeding to training and sales, under the direction of NRHA leading breeder and Million Dollar Owner, Rosanne Sternberg.
Ranch personnel specialize in preparing yearlings and two year olds, either to go on with trainers of the owner’s choice, as three year olds, or for the major fall performance horse sales.
The 2016 stallion roster will include NRHA Futurity and Derby Champion, 3 Time FEI Masters Champion, AQHA World Champion and now NRHA Hall Of Fame member, Smart Spook. He is now the sire of horses earning over $3.5 million dollars.
Standing alongside Smart Spook, we also welcome NRBC Champion, Rufanicki, who is a great young performance stallion, by the legendary Lil Ruf Peppy.
Sterling Ranch also manages a proven band of outstanding performance mares, representing some of the greatest bloodlines in Reining today. These great mares, most of whom are leading producers of money earning get, as well as significant money earners themselves, include daughters of Shining Spark, Smart Chic Olena, Topsail Whiz, Lil Ruf Peppy, Wimpys Lil Step, Hollywood Dunnit, Gallo Del Cielo and Smart Spook.
The Ranch’s broodmares have produced NRHA money earners of over $2.5 million dollars and includes the NRHA Hall Of Fame and NRHA leading producer, Ebony Shines. Youngstock by not only the Ranch stallions but also other leading stallions, including Smart Like Juice, Shine Chic Shine, Lil Joe Cash, Gunners Tinseltown, Tinker With Guns, Hollywoodtinseltown and Star Spangled Whiz can be seen at the Ranch.
